Last week we had quite a few days of rain. One afternoon I looked out the kitchen window and noticed Hazel in the pouring rain. She was out in the pasture talking face to face with the horses petting their wet hair. After she came in I asked her what she was doing. She said she was telling them that she knew it wasn't fair that some of the horses were in stalls out of the rain and some of them weren't and that they would be okay. I like this shot because to me it is so Hazel: big boots, a stick in her hand, messy hair and a wild look in her eyes out to change the world.
